Privacy policy
Effective 21 October 2026 · Applies to 20 20 20 for macOS and this website.
Summary
20 20 20 does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. It has no network access.
What the app reads
To decide whether you are actively using your Mac the app asks macOS for the number of seconds since your last keyboard, mouse or trackpad input, and whether the display is awake. These values are read in memory once per second and are not recorded, logged or stored.
What the app stores
Your settings (reminder interval, whether the end-of-break sound plays, and whether the menu bar countdown shows) in the standard macOS user defaults on your Mac. Nothing else.
Analytics, tracking and advertising
None. The app contains no third-party code, analytics, crash reporting or advertising identifiers.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your light/dark preference is kept in your browser’s local storage only.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address and summarised in the app’s release notes.
